We are a community of faith committed to live out the love, truth and compassion reflected in Jesus Christ. Our name, The Plant, symbolizes a group of people rooted in love, growing in truth found in the Holy Scriptures and producing lives that share a desire to serve those who live in a place of oppression.

We welcome people from all walks of life, regardless of where they are on their spiritual journey, to come and experience THE PLANT.

Location

Being a new church plant, we are in the midst of finding our roots. We are currently located at Highlands Presbyterian Church, 270 Franklin Turnpike, Allendale, New Jersey. Our weekly worship gathering takes place every Sunday at 5pm. View Map

The church is located on the corner of Franklin Turnpike and East Orchard. Parking is available on East Orchard and in the lot of the Allendale Police Station.

Rob is the Lead Pastor at THE PLANT. Over the past 12 years he has been in vocational ministry. This has included both church and para-chuch ministries. His theological training is from Nyack College and the Nyack/ Alliance Theological Seminary.

Over the past 6 years he has served at Cornerstone Christian Church in Wyckoff, NJ where his role was Pastor of Discipleship. It was there, where a desire to plant a church had begun. Rob grew up in Allendale and over the last several years has had a desire and conviction of "going home" to minister to the community where he grew up. On June 22. 2008, Cornerstone Christian Church sent Rob, his family and a team of people to establish The Plant in the community of Allendale.

Rob has been married for 11 years to Sue and has four children.

Omar is the Pastor of Community Life at THE PLANT. Over the past 5 years he has worked for Touch the World Ministries located in Allendale, NJ. During his time there, he has served as Co-director of ACCESS and is currently the Director of Short-Term Missions. He has a bachelor's degree from Nyack College in Pastoral Ministry.

Omar is engaged to his beautiful fiance, Kerri Jackson.

Amy LaBarr and Sarah Turner- Kids' Ministry Directors Email: kids@theplantchurch.org

Amy LaBarr and Sarah Turner are the Kids' Ministry Directors at The Plant. Both Amy and Sarah have been involved in kids' ministries at other churches and have decided to join THE PLANT team to lead our kid's programs.

Amy is married to Mike LaBarr and has two children. Sarah is married to Thomas Turner and is currently finishing up her Bachelors degree.
