About the Fast

As a community we will be participating in the Daniel Fast.  The Daniel Fast is a partial fast focusing on eating whole grains, vegetables, and fruits, while abstaining from all animal products (meats and dairy), fried foods, processed foods, added sugars etc.

Fasting is not just about “giving something up.” We fast to worship.  We fast as a spiritual discipline to refocus ourselves on Christ as we begin this year.  Our lives are often overwhelmed with distractions and things we seek instead of God.  Our goal of fasting is to let go of some of these distractions and create space to draw closer to his heart and hear his voice.  We are reminded about how dependent we are on Him for our every need.   During your fast be encouraged by a devotional reading each day.  Spend time reading the Bible, praying, reflecting, journaling, and experiencing his presence.  Join with us as we encourage one another and journey together for 21 days!

SPECIAL NOTE:

If you have health issues or are on any medication, always consult your doctor first before changing your diet.
